U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson: “I understand the defendant wishes to enter a peal of guilty is that correct?”

Manafort attorney Richard Westling: “That’s correct your honor,”
The plea agreement contains no mention of freeing Manafort from jail pending sentencing, his attorney confirmed, one potential indicator of whether he is cooperating or not. .
As a condition of his plea deal, Manafort also agree to forego "any remuneration" for any book, article or other book about the case or his role in the investigation.
Prosecutor Andrew Weissmann states that plea deal includes 17 page cooperation agreement
Weissman; :"On page 2 of 17 of the cooperation agreement, if you look at section 3, last two lines, the agreement is, it would be at the time of sentencing or completion of successful cooperation, *whichever is later*."
NEW Paul Manafort is cooperating with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, a prosecutor said in court. The disclosure came as President Trump’s former campaign chairman pleaded guilty Friday in federal court in Washington. wapo.st/2CUk7fV
Manafort agreed to cooperate "fully and truthfully" with Mueller, including interviews and debriefings, producing documents, and testifying.
Manafort also waived his right to have counsel present for every debriefing or interview
Under the agreement, Manafort faces a recommended sentence of 210 months up to the statutory maximum of the two admitted counts, 10 years, which could be consecutive to any Virginia sentence.
"I plead guilty," Manafort said.
The plea agreement includes a provision that if the special counsel's office determines Manafort has provided substantial assistance in the form of truthful information, the office will file a motion pursuant to 5k1 letter, recommending leniency.
Manafort's plea agreement requires that he furnish any document, and testify in any proceeding, and testify fully, completely, and truthfully before any and all grand juries, and at any and all trials in other cases or court proceedings in the District or elsewhere.
Manafort agreed to language seeming to make pardon-proof his forfeiture of his home in the Hamptons, Trump Tower condo, SoHo condo and Chinatown property, and 3 bank/insurance accounts: The forfeitures "will survive him notwithstanding the abatement of any criminal conviction."
Plea agreement appears to preserve Manafort's wife's retirement savings, and the suburban Washington home of one of his daughter's.
Pardon-proofing 1/3 Manafort waived his right to object to the government's use of statements to investigators "by him on or after Sept. 10" or since Monday, if he seeks to withdraw from the agreement.
Pardon-proofing 2/3 Should Manafort's plea or convictions be set aside for any reason, the agreement states that any uncharged offenses or dismissed counts can be reinstated by the government, and that "any other party" can use his statements against him.
Pardon-proofing 3/3 Manafort also consented to forfeit assets in criminal or civil proceedings, using judicial or non-judicial processes. A presidential pardon would not shield Manafort from federal or state civil litigation including forfeiture.
