Hello twitter. It's been a while. I'm the girl who wrote the "on Vuttercup of Anger" doc in 2015. I've noticed that there are many new fans that didn't go through Sungmin's wedding and are back at placing blame on him. It's time I tell everything I know

docs.google.com/document/d/1jT…
GOD its like its been a decade. Im not a part of the SJ fandom anymore, though I was for a good part of my teenage years. I was a hardcore ELF from 2009 to mid 2016. I witnessed Sorry Sorry drop, and went through a number of comebacks until due to various circumstances I moved on
Where to even begin? First I'll have to describe how the fandom was back then. My ults were Sungmin and Kyuhyun (as you can see for my username), therefore, I kept in touch mostly with that side of the fandom. Sungmin had a variety of fansites. However most WEREN'T Korean
The most prominent ones were Snowdrop (the biggest, Korean, owned by Hya and Vuttercup); LoveInVain (Chinese) and ISungmin (Chinese)

Plus a variety of independent photographers like Goldie (PH), 888Bananaman (JP) etc

Snowdrop was a dominant force. Save this info. We'll need it.
In 2014 there were dating rumours w/ Sungmin. After years of being an ELF I was able to become friends with some fans who were living in Korea and, therefore, had way more information on them than international fans. Info that doesn't get passed down bc Korean fans can't be arsed
No one paid much mind to them as, NEWSFLASH, members date. Amazing, I know. They actually have love lives.

There were a lot of whispers about him having a new partner, but there was also a lot of misinformation and, quite frankly, it wasn't my business so I chose not to engage.
Until this picture started going around. And this is where the shitstorm starts. Brace yourselves lol.

While international fans were... alright (for the lack of a better term) with it. Korean fans were LOSING THEIR GODDAMN MINDS. Straight up destroying CDs and merch. But why?
Shortly after Sungmin went public with the relationship w Saeun, there was a rumour that they would. Marry. In December.

It was September.

(PS back then kelfs found a feature of their musical on TV that showed them together on rehearsal and for some reason that angered them??)
After Sungmin went public with his relationship, kelf frantically tried to find reasons to object to it. I SWEAR. I give you my WORD as I WITNESSED this happen. They tried to find any sort of weird "evidence" to prove Sungmin was an ass. And the wedding news were their breakpoint
At the Tony Moly 2014 fansign with SJM, a lot of people noticed Sungmin's signature had changed. No one quite knew why. I remember quite clearly when Goldie posted about it
Rumours about the wedding became stronger and stronger. Basically someone close to him snitched and Dispatch posted about it. Netizens went wild and Saeun's agency tried to stifle the press. It didn't work. Kelfs went mental.
Back to the TonyMoly fansign, when Sungmin changed his signature, kelfs thought that the scribble meant "Mimi" (Saeun's alleged nickname). They thought it was unacceptable that he was mentioning his wife on fan gifts.

This is a screencap from OH in 2014. I-elfs bought into that.
The signature wasnt a solid enough reason to back their lunacy. So they started accusing Saeun of wearing fangifts. But let me tell you, I was shoulders deep into SJ back then I didn't see a SINGLE picture backing that claim except for this one. And that bracelet was a HUGE trend
They also posted this picture of Saeun reviewing a wine glass that was given by LoveInVain. A well known Chinese fan that is SUPPORTIVE of his marriage. The reach. The reach!

So the narrative soon turned into: "Sungmin cheated all of his fans to push for his marriage"
Soon enough Korean fans started to sell the narrative that Sungmin was to be blamed. HE gave Saeun fangifts (When? Where?). HE signed autographs with her name (a scribble?). HE put his personal life before the group (trained for 7 years, promoted with SJ for 10)

Like, seriously?
I swear. I truly swear. I WATCHED this happen. I SAW the narrative turn into "desperate panic because oppa is off the market!" to "sungmin is a sly fox who disrespected his fans and never did anything for the fandom". Fabiola, NKSubs and everyone in their little group did that
The wedding was a PR mess. Sungmin and Saeun have absolutely ZERO blame, but SM and her agency didn't help. The Raum (the venue of the wedding) was receiving call after call to confirm or deny the wedding. They denied. Fans were getting impatient.

Soon enough the (terrible) PR team on both ends realized the mess had already reached a level that couldnt be ignored. They confirmed the wedding. Its time for Chapter Two:

How and why I wrote the doc, and what I left out because I didnt have screencaps

Remember when I said Snowdrop was a massive force?

Snowdrop had two admins, Hye and Vuttercup. I said enough about both of them in the doc

(pls read otherwise this wont make sense docs.google.com/document/d/1jT…)

Snowdrop was pretty much the only actual strong Sungmin fansite in KR
Because of that (they both had been following Sungmin for a WHILE, pretty sure they were around before Sorry Sorry - Not sure so don't quote me on this) they both knew Sungmin personally. Met them after musicals, after Sukira (the radio show w Ryeowook), used to visit his cafe
(In 2011 Sungmin/Leeteuk/Kyuhyun's moms had a cafe called Kona Beans. The cafe eventually closed and Sungmin opened his own cafe called Wiki)

Snowdrop would travel around Asia (and the world. They went to Argentina for SS5) to take pictures of him > sell them to fund their trips
They would compile these pictures (most unreleased!) in photobooks and sell them with various goodies.

Needless to say, when you dedicate so much of your time to an idol, that's bound to give you an unrealistic sense of entitlement. And that's EXACTLY what happened.
Hya (who was working FOR Sungmin at that point, there's proof of that in the doc) decided to close down the website. I unfortunately was naive as hell back then and didn't screencap but she did write a blog post about the wedding being angry that she wasn't invited HOOOWEVER
Im gonna be real,Hya was angry. She had dedicated a good chunk of her life to an idol and felt (wrongly lol) betrayed. Despite all that, she ranted on her blog, but shortly deleted the post, and quietly moved on. LoveInVains master was also sad at first but then turned supportive
Do I understand the sentiment? Hell no, that shit is entitled as fuck. But she didnt trash him nor make up shit (AT LEAST THAT IVE SEEN). She MOVED ON. LoveInVain's supportive and was seen around Wiki multiple times (her photobooks are also dope)

Vuttercup is a different story
So Vuttercup deadass opened this account (now terminated, @vuttercup2) to ~ rant away ~ everything she knew about Sungmin and ~ spread the truth ~

The doc I wrote (on a complete rush while texting a BUNCH of friends who had info) was mainly to debunk her claims
An international fan translated Vuttercup’s tweets?! Like WHY I mean Kelf call us cockroaches. Aaaaaanyway, not sure how it is now, but back then a big chunk of the fandom would lick kelfs’ boots and see them as second comings of god so i-elf bought it
You can lurk the account and read for yourself what Vuttercup had to say.

Her biggest argument was that she had emailed Sungmin about the wedding (a supposed 9 page letter dude DUDE GET OVER YOURSELF EHJDJEFJ) and Sungmin replied her.

She never posted the content of the e-mail
Basically she was furious that she wasn’t invited (probably realized she had wasted a shit ton of time and effort on a person whose JOB is to entertain)

She kept saying how absurd it was that fans weren’t invited but then backtracked saying she “chose not to go”
THEN after that she started rumors about sungmin treating members poorly/being rude/don’t giving attention to fans

I MEAN. FIRST

It’s HIS wedding my dude. His life. You’re a fan, not his friend. Get over yourself

SECOND you weren’t even there?! get real lol
Kelfs know when members are dating. Or at least they are pretty sure they know.

Anyhow, Kelf tried to justify their bigotry by saying that the members THEMSELVES didn’t support the marriage, despite having no solid proof to back their claims
What I’m saying in this thread is mostly an extension from the doc, which has all the evidence you need.

They had absolutely no way to know how the members felt about the wedding, other than hearing from members themselves. So they used GOSSIP to argument against his wedding
This might be a tough pill to swallow, it definitely was for me, but sungmin wasn’t exactly the most popular member in Korea. Soon enough news of him “betraying fans” and “poorly handling” his betrothal gained traction. The general public, which at that point didn’t know +
Were bombarded with shitty articles. Needless to say, and to put it bluntly, they sabotaged Sungmin’s career. He didn’t have popularity (IN THE EYES OF SM) for a solo. He was about to enlist, kelfs shat all over his reputation, Sungmin was left alone in the basement
It’s crazy because he was a trainee for like 7 years? And what did them expect Sungmin to do? Keep his relationship hidden during his enlistment and risk an even BIGGER scandal that could destroy SJ’s career? Sungmin enlisted quietly after an ‘scandal’ that wasn’t even his FAULT
Anyway. I won’t contribute to gossip. But I KNOW you all want Sungmin back in the group, and what was done to him by Kelf is just ENRAGING because SM should’ve protected him but since when SM gives a shit?

If Sungmin ever returns let that be in his own terms. IF he wishes.
We need to stop worshiping SJ as a perfect family.

I wish Sungmin will be happy. Will update this thread once I remember more stuff but anyway. This is it.
