One of my godfathers back in my likkle yout days, still today is Douglas Vaz so was Edward Seaga...in my late teen years I told Uncle Dougie how I felt about the fallout between the two and he was good with it...we still meet and speak regularly to this day
We spoke one day about @annmarievazja and my wish to see her in full time politics but I doubted Poomps would agree...Uncle Dougie gushed about her being more in sync with the people from all walks of life, JLP, PNP ...and agreed maybe it was a good idea...where? Portland...good
Then I decided to really invest the time to make sure she was made of true political strength...because not every right person is right for politics, it is not for the shakey, or those easily shaken...and I found a strange thing about @annmarievazja
I found her to be still attached to her VERY humble roots while living her best life and wanting to make the lives of many all over just as good as hers has been...and believe me many many years ago when her origins were revealed it shocked many
Truth is many still believe @annmarievazja to be the product of Norbrook family, privilege and early prosperity in life...not only because she married a Vaz, but also she looks the way we get tricked thinking "uptown people" look...furthest thing from the truth
While @annmarievazja might look uptown in the eyes of social media and gatherings and some might think she's some young fun loving girl fresh out of her mother's house...she have a ting name "fit in propa" but she's never denied her beginnings and is true to herself
So all these PNP antagonists and JLP doubters who have been trying to sell the idea that "she too brown and uptown fi Portland people" please stop it...@annmarievazja is 100% come from deep bush country girl...not main road country, dirt poor bush browning who rise
Over many years I have found her to be tender in smile and heart but not a pushover...when tough times and tasks appear she works...not for labourite or uptown or money people or...she works tirelessly for the people and THAT is what makes me agree to her being a good choice
I would be the first person wrong or right to tell her to walk away or avoid politics if I thought she was wrong for the purpose...matters not if we ah friend, family or she look hot like ah wah...more than ANY WOMAN in politics today @annmarievazja knows the journey
She is not at her happiest shopping in Sovereign, but rather fancies a good vibe with some wood fire cooking and cheese pan links...yes she loves to travel and enjoys a good life...and? We believe good life is a curse when people want to serve the people...why?
Well unlike some women who have used humble beginnings as a number one springboard and after decades did little to make constituents rise way above I truly believe @annmarievazja wants to make every young girl in East Portland live her reality and create the way for them to do it
The main reason I also support @annmarievazja is because her support system and family are all persons like her and collectively they want to see this country better with work and purpose, not because of politics but through politics and public service...
It is always important to have the right people as a guide and the ability to remain connected to who you are from background to present reality...by the way, many who shout loudly about liking @annmarievazja because unoo swear she uptown stop it...she hard core and real
I know many were concerned about her first BIG stage in Portland last week and I wanted to judge for myself...she surpassed my best expectations doing better than many who are seasoned...and yet some people still tried to disrespect and pull the same BS pulled with Poomps before
Whatever you believe is fit for political fodder or how much you need to score political points I will simply say this...if 63 constituencies have persons with the desire to make the people better the way @annmarievazja does Ja good...remember, if she good fi Ja she good wid me
By the way...for those who think politics allows you to play any card possible to get an edge or touch the character...be reminded...mi have nuff files and the keys to pull them...make sure yuh hands clean when yuh hide and throw stone after @annmarievazja or anyone else
