Research:
Showed coconut oil was bad...Ja turned it's back on the product...others made a fortune...now we jump and are in love with it again and are struggling to have a foot in the world business

Shows black people having learning deficiencies when compared to Caucasians...well we've clearly proven that wrong...
Research:
Shows Jamaican men are the most "missing" when it comes to children, yet it has been proven wrong for ages and we still stick to the old time claimed...research
What "research" tells me is that we can selectively decide what to choose and use today...or ignore...or challenge...it also means research can take decades to be proven right or wrong..researcher is usually most offended if said research challenged..why? They're only ones right
So I always ask..if your research is right does it mean my opinion is wrong? If you have used certain factors to conclude your research...and research shouldn't really conclude hmmm...are my factors rubbish because it isn't stamped by X or Y?
And let me add...I have led "research" teams and sent them into areas only to discover they did not in fact go into the designated areas but came back with...research data...when a social anthropologist sat with me and we both rubbished data the truth came out ...oh well
I just wonder if this latest relaunching of the narrative speaks to all students or just students from a certain background and attending certain schools...if so it appears the problems are deeper and wider than patois...but hey...I ain't got the PhD so what would I know

One of my godfathers back in my likkle yout days, still today is Douglas Vaz so was Edward Seaga...in my late teen years I told Uncle Dougie how I felt about the fallout between the two and he was good with it...we still meet and speak regularly to this day
We spoke one day about @annmarievazja and my wish to see her in full time politics but I doubted Poomps would agree...Uncle Dougie gushed about her being more in sync with the people from all walks of life, JLP, PNP ...and agreed maybe it was a good idea...where? Portland...good
Then I decided to really invest the time to make sure she was made of true political strength...because not every right person is right for politics, it is not for the shakey, or those easily shaken...and I found a strange thing about @annmarievazja

I remember my days at THE St Richard's Primary when field trips/movies were an essential and established thing we did as students...it was part of education/civic pride/fun all wrapped up into one and the student body was from a mixed background...mainly middle/upper admittedly
We did Port Royal, Kings House, Dunn's River, Carib and a whole host of other places...there was a price attached most times and affordable to most...some didn't get "permission" but it wasn't about cost most times..."nex ting mi sen him an him guh drown" but almost all got to go
If 2 didn't make a trip an appeal was made for the next time using "they will feel left out and not benefit like everyone else" and almost surely by the next outing there they were...

Big business in Jamaica will only understand the seriousness of crime when they lose so significantly it becomes unbearable...murders don't kill some profits, but closing at 2pm for a week because of curfew will...
When people in this country who are not directly affected by crime make the loudest appeals for action they really mean action against THEM not US...wanting to enjoy the SAME life while action is taken against "those people"
So WE must be free to go clubbing, parties, visiting where we so choose because "we're law abiding citizens" and the sec forces "need fi guh run dung DEM and low WE" ...how law abiding are you when you resist the fix YOU demanded?

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

I really wish cooking blogs got over the myth than maple syrup or agave is healthier than white sugar. Sugar is sugar. Your body processes it all the same.

I see people really like the myth there’s some way to consume the same amount of sugar and saturated fat without it being unhealthy. There’s really not.
