So today Elon tweeted out blatant horseshit, yet again. This reminded me of something that has been bouncing around in my head for a few weeks about $TSLA and $TSLAQ, so indulge me in yet another thread.

/1
A friend of mine actually bought the stock after the "funding secured" tweet. It was incomprehensible to him that a CEO of a public company would simply lie so blatantly, so it must be true, right?

/2
A fun game that people play both on twitter and IRL is to wonder, what in the hell is Elon thinking? This is a really fun game, because there is just. so. much. bullshit. to sort through. You can almost talk yourself into anything.

/3
I have thought about this a lot. Again, it's a really fun game. In the end I think there are a lot of reasons for the things he does. The NY Times heavily insinuated he has a substance problem. He is a narcissist. And so on.

/4
But, as I thought about this more I think none of these things are the real driving force behind Elon's actions.

/5
I think the movie "Heat" is one of the best films ever made. The opening scene has a crew of extremely sophisticated thieves knocking over an armored car. They are professional, methodical, experienced.

/6
One of them makes a mistake and shoots a guard. Another member of the crew immediately shoots the other guard, execution style. Zero hesitation. When the detective (played by Pacino) shows up, he immediately understands.

/7
He explains to his comrades in the police, you see, once they shoot the first guard, the second one is free. You're already going down for murder if you get caught. Better not leave a witness.

/8
So anyway, the thing about Elon's behavior that makes the most sense to me is this:

He is all in. Tweeting "funding secured" and all the other stuff didn't change anything for him. Really makes you think about what he already did...

/9
So that's my diagnosis, maybe I am totally wrong. But if I'm right, then anybody thinking about $TSLAQ (and I believe it's coming) should prepare themselves for the likelihood that there simply is not a governor on any further fraudulent action.
