Late last night Grassley’s chief counsel, who’d question Ford in a staff interview & prep Grassley’s questioning in a hearing, tweeted that he’s “unfazed” & “determined” to “confirm Kavanaugh,” then confirmed he personally conducted Kavanguah’s questioning & attacked Ford’s camp.
Mike’s account has been locked. It was public this morning when these screen shots were taken. I’m leaving them up because the question of whether Grassley’s staff can conduct a fair investigation is central to the debate & Mike would conduct the questioning of Kavanaugh & Ford.
Mike's account is now public again and here is his explanation. Not sure how this clarifies anything, but judge for yourself.
Last night's statement by Grassley's Chief Counsel that he's "determined" to "confirm judge Kavanaugh" is also notable in light of Grassley setting Friday as the deadline for Ford to respond.

Gee, I wonder why she might suspect this process is a sham. cnn.com/2018/09/19/pol…
And yes, as Chief Counsel for Nominations on the Judiciary majority staff, Mike is one of the supposedly impartial "committee investigators" that Grassley says should handle this investigation, at the exclusion of the FBI.

As a counterpoint to my take on this process, here's the defense of Grassley's approach from his official Judiciary account.
However the @senjudiciary defense omits that Grassley unilaterally set the date & unfavorable terms of the hearing, poisoning the process at the start. And there are lots of other ways the majority staff can rig a process in their favor while still presenting a facade of fairness
@senjudiciary Coda: @mrddmia locked his account again.
