How do you make a rat feel safe enough to come out of hiding? Sometimes things are said that have an opposite meaning. Not referring to this video, but things pertaining to what goes on in our government. The stench is Rank, and you can cut it with a File! Truth VS Deception!
What is better then a rat with a muzzle? A rat that can talk! Some rats speak other languages. Some have no home. Some work for even bigger rats. The key is turn those rats into song birds. Let them sing and compose as much as possible. Nuff Said!

There are people on here trying to control everyone. They want to control whether you even argue with someone or not. They say you are fake MAGA if you argue with other MAGA people. Even friends argue now and then. Do they not stay friends? If people want to argue, so be it!
We are not always going to agree on everything.We are not always going to like everything. We are sometimes going to argue over things. Its not big deal. But to accuse someone of being fake MAGA because they argue with you,is immature and divisive. Its another way of controlling!
Be careful of people who try to control what you talk about on here. Notice how they try to keep you from really speaking what you believe. They threaten to bran you as fake MAGA as soon as you step out of line. True patriots are not dictators, but free speech advocates.

I cannot over emphasize how important #MuslimSexEd is in dismantling rape culture and helping prevent sexual abuse before it happens.

#MuslimSexEd means knowing that your body is an amaanah - and for those of us who have kids, that *they* are an amaanah on us.
Teach your kids that their bodies are beautiful - Allah tells us, "La qad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem."

That includes our private parts - our awrah. Our body, our 'awrah, is not "dirty" or "shameful." Rather, it is to be honoured and loved and taken care of.
We cover our awrah because our bodies are sacred, not dirty.

Anyone who dares to violate another's body is themselves filthy of heart and soul.

Teach children from an early age what safe & unsafe touch is; to feel empowered to stand up for themselves; to feel safe with you.

Advice for folks involved in hiring (interviewers, managers, recruiters), because I see too many advice for candidates threads:

1. It's your job to make the candidate feel safe enough to shine. Candidates are always nervous; if it's a problem, it's on you to fix it 1/n
2. You have to work actively against your biases. Don't let yourself make decisions based on vague impressions. Interrogate them until you find evidence. Be willing to change your mind. Ignore anything that is not in the listed criteria for the job. 2/n
3. Assume the best in the candidate. If they misunderstood the question, maybe you didn't explain it well. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Guide them towards success, and give them the ability to show how great they are. 3/n

- imagining in 5 years (it'll probably be OK)
- helping someone else

- distractions:
- walk in nature (observing, not thinking)
- silliness & minor "adventures"
- books & movies
If you think I'm having a hard time and you don't know what to do, try ^ those things on me.
I really appreciate the people I feel safe enough to "be real" with, who I feel I can share the not-happy parts of life with, without worrying that they'll just offer platitudes or minimizations or judgments.

They suddenly branded Buhari as a saint and Messiah that would save us condemnation but people like us saw that nothing good could come out of him. All you needed to do was to study his antecedents.
I know how many people I had to block to preserve my sanity. The balderdash they constantly posted was unbelievable. Many of them had no concrete selling points for Buhari beyond, Jonathan is a failure.
