New statement from Kavanaugh, according to the White House, in its entirety: "This is ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone. I don’t know who this is and this never happened.” He's referring to the new allegations from Julie Swetnick, though he doesn't say so explicitly.
This statement, sent out by the White House, does not have the language, tone, sentence structure or precision of Kavanaugh's previous utterances, so I'm curious about how it was crafted.
Well, there is at least one person in the White House who likes to make reference to the Twilight Zone. From Wayne Barrett's 1992 biography of Donald Trump:
Now Trump calls Swetnick's allegations "false," couching that claim in an attack on Avenatti.
