I completely dislike the "a Black woman could never do this and still have a career". It makes white women the standard for misbehavior and forgiveness. Plus, if you really believe that, go throw some grace, well wishes, and think piece energy on Blac Chyna and my fav Mo'Nique.

This is the type of BS that happens when we don't connect a Reproductive Justice and Black feminist framework with Black liberation. This shit was trash & violent towards women. essence.com/celebrity/t-i-…
This imagery is no different than Kanye saying that he is supporting Trump because the "her" in "I'm With Her" made him feel "uncomfortable" as a man. Mistreatment & violence towards women is ALSO a tool of white supremacy.

White supremacy doesn't exist without patriarchy.
If your justice doesn't have a gender analysis...it's not justice! In the long run, this type of shit still ends up hurting Black women. It makes me sick that some of y'all still believe you can use sex w/ a man as a corrective action. This video is what rape culture looks like.

I lost over 100 followers this week standing up for WOC being attacked by white women.
I'm sorry to have lost them because it means those folks missed the point.
White people have an obligation to POC in America because of the damage #racism inflicts even if we aren't #racist.

I have written about @ealDonaldTrump gaslighting before, but I'm going to write about the 11 signs again, just so people can spot it when it continues to happen.

Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality.
It works much better than you may think. ANYONE is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of ABUSERS, DICTATORS, NARCISSISTS, and CULT LEADERS. It is done slowly, so the victim doens't realize how much they've been brainwashed.
1. THEY TELL BLATANT LIES: You know it's a lie. Yet they are telling you this lie with a straight face. Once they tell you a huge lie, you're not sure if anything they say is true. Keeping you unsteady and off-kilter is the goal...hello American media,this is your cue to wake up.
