The first step is of course to recognise the history, however painful, cruel it may be. Every German and every Jew knows about #holocaust.

There are monuments, books, films that remind us of that painful chapter of our history. No German celebrates Hitler today they know.

Back home, Hindus are reminded every day that so called upper caste Hindus discriminated against lower caste Hindus.

There are hundreds of books, movies, articles, documentaries telling this in strong words.

The third step is the most important step. Repair. Recognising and regretting is not enough to heal the wounds. Affirmative actions are needed to heal the old wounds. There can not be a permanent reconciliation unless a conscious effort is made to repair what was broken

The story of how Islamic invaders sought to destroy the very foundations of Hindu society and culture is long and extremely painful. It would certainly be better for everybody to forget the past, but for the prescriptions of Islamic theology which remain intact even today.

Our leftist historians have whitewashed the painful history of Islamic atrocities. Sample this.
