I think often about how a large part of my politics are predicated on pushing ppl to understand the social & historical context that might lead someone to end up in prison, but sometimes I fail to extend tht same empathy to ppl in other parts of my life when they've made mistakes
Trying to learn to be more consistent in who I extend the benefit of the doubt to.
