The report's "worst case scenario" is already terrible, and it's not really the worst case. 
Even assuming everyone honors the Paris accords, we're in massive trouble.
Like, if we make it too expensive to use our current energy infrastructure, we can MAYBE keep it down to 3.5 degrees, which is going to kill 10s of millions of people.
We've got 10 years to stop it from becoming something that will kill all of us and limit it to something that will only kill most of us, which involves a massive overhaul of the world's energy infrastructure. It takes 45 years to build 3 subway stops in NYC.
In conclusion, make the most out of the next 10 years, bc the likelihood is after that, if you're alive, your life is going to be unrecognizably different from what it's like right now.
Also yell at your elected representatives about why this isn't occupying all of their time.
