As they walked off though, that wasn’t my ten-year old going off with his friends for the first time.
It was my little boy. The same one who took his first steps outside the bakery.
The one who’s little footsteps on the hardwood would wake me up before he climbed on my bed.

They say “It all goes too fast.” but it really does.
The days fly by. It just goes so damn quick.
I’ve loved every age. I’ve loved all of it... but, boy, I’d love to just slow it all down sometimes. Freeze it up and stop time.
