Subhash C Bose had 3 regiments of INA named after Gandhi, Nehru & Azad. After his win in Imphal in 1944 he spoke about Gandhi and addressed him as the ‘Father of our Nation’ 2/n
Subhash C Bose also sought Mahatma’s blessings & his good wishes on that occasion. He also knew that he would need the support of the Congress & millions of their followers once INA entered India. 3/n
Bose’s idea of India as mentioned in his Azad Hind declaration was to guarantee religious liberty to all Indians as well as equal rights and opportunities to all its citizens. Hope Prachar Mantri learns from that. 4/n
When Nehru heard the news of Bose’s death he wept at the passing of a friend& a colleague who cherished the same idea and struggled for the same cause of making India free. Despite differences they respected each other tremendously. 5/n
Lest we forget, Nehru defended Bose’s colleagues who were accused of treason, in his capacity as a lawyer, in a public trial at the Red Fort, Delhi. Hope Prachar Mantri recalls that instance of India’s history. 6/n
