Accused mail bomber Cesar Sayoc's lawyers say he prefers to have a detention hearing in New York City, rather than in Miami.
Lawyers for Cesar Sayoc say they do not know when their client will be sent to New York. It could be today, it could be in a series of van rides through county jails in a transport that takes a month.
Lawyers Daniel Aaronson and Jamie S. Benjamin described the evidence against Cesar Sayoc as "flimsy," saying feds used words like "possible DNA" which is not admissible in court.
Sayoc is being held in an isolation unit known as "the shu."
Cesar Sayoc's lawyer, Daniel Aaronson, represented Sayoc in a few shoplifting cases. He described his former client as among the most respectful clients he has ever had.
Aaronson said he hopes Sayoc is innocent of these charges.
The defense lawyers said they asked to have accused mail bomber Cesar Sayoc's detention hearing in NY so that his lawyers in NYC can see the case through from beginning to end.

Even when the government said all hospitals were open, General Buchanan, who led U.S. military efforts in Puerto Rico, said to me: "Define open." And he was right: I found hospitals that weren't taking new patients or only taking pregnant women. Or that had no air conditioning.
Then I attended a press conference in Puerto Rico, where PR government officials insisted that it was basically a coincidence that nearly 500 more people had died of "natural causes" in September 2017 versus 2016.

Firstly, forget the merits, there's a big problem.

The process.

I do not trust it.

Residents must make a final decision on a complex multi-million dollar real estate transaction.

Thus far, the @MiamiHerald's @joeflech was stonewalled when requesting the public records to report on it during the last month.

The vote is Thursday.

Then it goes to a referendum where competing groups will dump millions of dollars into lobbying a plan nobody has seen yet.

Residents of @CityofMiami have seen the failure of the backwards approach to business time & time again.

Not just from failed developments.

But from MLS very specifically, who has already announced another stadium deal with the City of Miami in 2015
