I also think there is some kind of damage involved: they are damaged in some way by the physical act of Exiling. I like the idea that they all gravitate to an archetypical identity as a result bc they no longer have access to their group identity, esp “Trooping Fae”
@kerastion Like either physical or psychological/emotional or all of the above. It is a traumatic thing and Fae have very grey morality contrasted with b/w ways of seeing the world. So result is they give each other/themselves labels, as *names* are still taboo
@kerastion Even though True Names don’t work on Exiles if iron doesn’t (that doesn’t make sense?) but even so, culturally, they can’t quite get behind the whole “calling each other by their name” thing
