Everything I need to build my new computer has arrived except the actual case.
Here’s all the bits, I dont know much about most of this. especially don’t know whether they are good or bad parts.
The only bummer I have with this and my very limited knowledge is that the guide only gave me 8 GB of RAM. Even my old PC has at least 12.

I think I'm going to have to get more.
And my Computer Case just arrived! Time to hopefully not ruin a thousand dollars of electronics!
Here is the case, it is larger than I’m used to, but that’s probably good.
This is one of the few things I've picked myself since the guide's first recommended case looked annoying.
The only other thing I picked was I had the option of either an Intel processor or AMD.

I went with AMD since I've always had Intel and they've seemed like a pain to upgrade. I don't know if AMD is any better but I thought a change might be nice to try at least.
OKAY so in about a half hour I'm going to start building this thing. My first ever PC build! Any tips would be great!

I already know I need to ground myself. I need to look up a guide or video on building a PC.
I've got an ELO based music station playing on Spotify. Starting the PC build now!
Ran into my first frustration: The Heatsink is connected to a fan that needs to be installed. My case came with two fans pre-installed with wires running through and both are connected to each other.

Does that mean I have to strip out the two installed fans and replace with one?
Okay, motherboard, cpu, ram, heatsink+water cooling system are all installed in the case.

Going to take a break for food and hopefully finish up later. I feel like I must be at least halfway done?
Trying to plug the cooling system into the power supply. But I have no clue what cable is going to the power supply here. There’s no text in the instruction booklet.
Things I've said during this build to myself.
"Fuck"
"Fuck this"
"Jesus christ"
"I hate this!"
"I don't know what the fuck that is."
*In Mr. Magoo voice* "Oh Magoo you've done it again."
Okay I have everything assembled in the PC case and it should be good to go. How should I test it? Just plug it in and press the power button?
Also I have no idea how to install an operating system even if it is working...
Everything seems to be working! Though I have this concerning error message. What should I do?
Still just stuck on this screen, no clue what it means.
Fixed it with a dumb trick.
-start the computer with the USB stick in.
-Get to the the screen that just says "install windows" on a button.
-Switch the USB stick to a different port at that moment, then start installing.
Switching at any other moment didn't work, only that specific screen. Computers are dumb.
Also the bummer I had about not much RAM with this guide I followed also got fixed!

They sent me a gift card that paid for doubling the RAM they initially gave me.
Looks like if there are any other problems, I won't find out till later.

Thanks for all the help tonight everyone!

Now i need to clean up all this mess of boxes and computer bits I didn't need.
Ran into a new problem with my PC build from yesterday. It's not able to detect WiFi signal.

It's supposed to be able to, maybe I missed something?
Hm, I might just be mistaken.

I think I need to buy a wireless card, I don't think my guide had that in it.
