Don’t think your love for that one person was wasted because it was not reciprocated. Love never fails. It may have failed to do what you wanted it to but, if you’ll offer that unrequited love to God to do with as He pleases, He’ll use your large heart to extend His love to many.
I’m just saying, don’t waste that rejection. Fellowship in the sufferings of Christ over it. Watch what He will do with it. I’m not sure there are many things in the human experience I have seen God redeem more gorgeously.
Someone’s thinking there’s nothing God can do with it because your love for a particular person was wrong to start with and it may have been & it calls for repentance. But if you think God will not still comfort you in the miseries of your poor decisions, you underestimate grace.
