“All of my emails that relate to any form of government work” are “all part of the public record.”
HOWEVER, Ivanka’s emails are NOT part of the public record. You can FOIA the State Department, you can’t FOIA WH emails. That’s an outright lie.
She did not. She emailed with people across government, Democrats and Republicans alike. All of them could see her email address. No one cared until it became political fodder.
Ivanka has no idea if that’s true. She means they weren’t marked as such. Neither were HRC’s. Classification is an art, not a science, and two people reading the same email might have different views on the same mundane detail.
The State Department Inspector General said directly that “Laws and regulations did not prohibit employees from using their personal accounts.”
It remains to be seen however whether Ivanka violated the Presidential Records Act.
