Eccentricity is not a crime and if we must hate and crucify @adeyanjudeji let us get a dagger and stab the soul of Fela Anikulapo Kuti. After all, he once called Buhari and his like ‘Animal in human skin’ and sang into eternity that certain leaders are thieves #FreeDejiAdeyanju
When the silence was hollow and no one dared raise their voice as opposition on twitter, there was just one man, who dared and gave us all the courage, it was @adeyanjudeji , yes, he is eccentric, not a trait that is a crime to kill for #FreeDejiAdeyanju
I feel for @adeyanjudeji because Nigerians and Africans do not react until a person is dead. Bouazizi wasn’t a hero till his immolation and Fela wasn’t really appreciated till he died. Same people who called him hemp smoker paid dollars to go see his broadway musical
@adeyanjudeji only crime was giving voice to the voiceless and for having the audacity to call out our feudal Lords the names that many of us dare not call them ‘Ole’, they want his head on a platter like a modern day John the Baptist
You see what @adeyanjudeji stands for is dangerous, in a country with wicked leaders who have introduced Sharia in some parts & had people’s hands cut off but only for them to steal with both hands & still walk around like gods while the poor hail them like saints, Deji is threat
How dare a @adeyanjudeji a commoner call our distinguished VP a thief, our VP with the anointing of Robinhood & the Halo of Brutus, how dare Deji, call him a thief? But let’s ask, was there no incident that led to Deji making such statement? Are we now a people that can’t react?
We have come this far in a democracy only for our reactions to be seen as an insult that must be rewarded with incarceration and protests might likely lead to death and yet many of you think we are alive. Oh yes, let’s forget it and move on, no need for #FreeDejiAdeyanu
Just like the Tunisians who could have reacted when Bouazizi has his cart of goods seized or when he got beaten, we have chosen to look the other way, but Bouazizi set himself ablaze and all tripped out to riot, but then Bouazizi was gone &yes, let’s hope it won’t happen to Deji
@adeyanjudeji let us hate Deji Adeyanju right now, just like our parents despised the likes of Adaka Boro as student activist for a worthy cause and before they could appreciate him, the civil war had taken him after given blood and sweat brine for Nigeria’s sake
Let us hate @adeyanjudeji for fighting demons yet to reveal their aura, let us call Deji names, just like our parents called Fela a help smoker and Adaka Boro, a loud mouthed youth, one day, we will look back like our parents do and wish we fought dirty like Deji, Fela and Adaka
