One thing that has been on my mind lately is the “missing link” so to speak, between #MAGA Patriots, Q followers & conservative independents.

It appears, at least on the surface, there is a fundamental disconnect preventing different groups of American Patriots in uniting. Why?
Consider for a moment the ie of the “missing link” in human DNA. Religious beliefs aside (btw what’s so hard to grasp that evolution & God can’t be mutually exclusive? IMO God facilitated it, as he does all things), where is the disjoint?

The “missing link” re: human DNA is essentially the search for WHY more complex organisms behave, adapt & advance at a vastly superior rate than less complex organisms. In this thread, consider Q as complex & unawake Patriots (but EQUALLY CAPABLE) as non-complex.

One of the trends I've seen in The Discourse™ lately, and it's linked with the Ramsay Centre stuff, is the claim that it was Western Civilisation that ended slavery.

This is not true.
It's not just that many polities outside of Europe have at various points restricted or outlawed slavery, and it's not just that they're claiming credit for ending a trade that they started, it's that the abolition of slavery was nowhere mere product of European benevolence.
In many cases, abolition, on the side of white people, was driven by fear. In others by avarice. And in others by Imperial expansion.

One of the things I enjoyed/clocked re the release of #Natives was the deafening silence of the right wing press... even outlets that usually have so a little bit to say about rappers and the issues covered in the book....
Here you have a mere rapper play acting at being a historian and getting published and spending a good few weeks on the best sellers and all that. Great time/chance to show what a fraud man really is....
They were all sent the book of course and if they could have torn it to shreds obviously would have. Not to say there are not areas of valid scholarly disagreement...

One of the very frightening, strange things about this site is the (good) outflowing of pity and sympathy for those who commit suicide that is bordered by often vicious hatred of various persons and relishing in their demise.
We have such a desire for death for our enemies that it basically renders our odes to those we like meaningless.
So many, of all political views, have this delusion that somehow they are above it all, that their enemies, and all their crimes, why, I could never do this! Such sins are beneath me.
