The more I do this stuff, the more I wonder if it is something I should be focusing on.

The level of fulfillment I get from sharing this stuff is scary.
I hate posting about this because I feel like I come across as ungrateful or greedy. I love doing this and I don't know any other way to see if it is something serious I can pursue without trying.
I appreciate you all and this wouldn't be worth it without each of you. Every like, retweet, and even your comments increase the visability of my posts. As they become more visible, I help MORE people know what is actually happening.
It is a self-sustaining fulfillment loop and you make it possible. For that I thank you all. And @tracybeanz for the shout out and amazing work she does.

Rear Admiral Kevin Sweeney, USN (Ret.), has stepped down as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense. He has served in this role since January 2017.
"After two years in the Pentagon, I've decided the time is right to return to the private sector. It has been an honor to serve again alongside the men and women of the Department of Defense," said Sweeney.

Stuff I Want My New College Freshmen To Know: A Thread
It is TOTALLY NORMAL to be scared. Of moving to a new place, leaving home, of new people, of professors. It’s all normal. Knowing that it’s normal doesn’t make everything magically easier, but stop worrying that there’s something wrong with you for being scared. There’s not.
It is great that some people are best friends with their roommates! It’s awesome that some people find their new best friends right away! But, again-IT IS OKAY IF THAT’S NOT YOUR EXPERIENCE. It takes longer for some to find their place. And your “place” can change as you do.

I keep thinking back to a discussion a few months on reddit about THE BELGARIAD. Several comments were made about it being cliche and pedestrian, and someone said, “Yeah, it’s a fine story, but it’s never going to be a classic.”
And all I could think to respond was, “It’s over thirty years later and we’re still talking about it. How is that NOT ‘a classic’?
But that got me thinking- I cite THE BELGARIAD (and THE MALLOREON, its sequel series) as one of my influential works. But what is that influence? I know I’ve read the whole series several times. My copies of the books are in terrible shape.
