1/ I am going to tell you a quick short story as to why the current state of politics does not define us as Americans and we will be ok.
A neighbor of mine was at a store right before closing. He was checking out and noticed some commotion a few registers away. Paid and left.

2/ Before getting in his car something bugged him, he walked back toward the store. A woman walked out barely keeping it together and sobbing. He asked her what the matter is and she refused to tell him why. She got in her car and left. He was concerned being in law enforcement.
3/ the store staff told him she had picked a Xmas tree, decorations and other Xmas stuff and her debit card was declined. She called the bank and was told the other authorized user ( soon to be ex husband) had just made the max atm withdrawal which was her pay for two weeks.
4/ I will skip certain details but he somehow ( law enforcement magic) found where she lived. Even as the store was closing, the manager let him pay for the abandoned shopping cart and tree. Other people pitched it and added more stuff.
5/ by the time he walked out of the closed store, he had 4 shopping carts full of toys, Xmas goodies, food and some gift cards for other stores. He went to her home, knocked on her door with his uniform on late at night and delivered a Xmas blessing to her.
6/ why I am tweeting this? Because he refused to tell the story, get recognition or identify himself. However every husband has a wife who at times can’t keep quiet.
