3) The letter is Cummings 'n Schiffhole demanding that Gowdy and Nunes hold the transcribe interview with the Uranium One informant, and was why the Uranium One investigation into Hillary taking millions from Russia to influence US policy was revived.

4) Their tantrum is based on the mean old Republicans REFUSING to grant Democrats on either the House Oversight or HPSCI access to this confidential informant, and that the Dems have a super special letter from the DoJ contradicting R's allegations against Her Majesty Clinton!

5) They start by claiming that it was a partisan investigation that was restarted in October 2017 regarding the millions in donations to the Clinton Foundation by Uranium One connected individuals and paid to Bill Clinton in speaking fees to influence Hillary's vote in the CFIUS.

6) Lot of @RepDeSantis quotes in which he drops hammer after hammer. Weaponized intelligence agencies, direct quids and quos for that delicious quid pro quo, Trump tweeting about it (because somehow that makes it fake even though he has always been eventually correct)

7) Cummings 'n Schiffhole: "But but but POLITIFACT SAID HE WAS LYING!"

8) So their argument is that it is a partisan investigation because Republicans and Trump want it, while Democrats, the WaComPost, Politifact, and Shep Smith who I'm reasonably certain is Fox's way of leeching CNN and MSNBC viewers (see link) washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/w…

9) Ok, yeah, that checks out. We want to destroy one of the Democrats sacred cows, the Clinton dynasty, and they don't. Pretty partisan there. But, BREAKING NEWS: they're partisan too.

10) Next, Cummings 'n Schiffhole complain that they haven't had any access to this witness for 3 months, while Gowdy and Nunes are talking about how they've been able to talk to him and have been working to get him to come forwards for several months.

11) Cummings 'n Schiffhole have been asking repeatedly for access to this informant, and have been regularly ignored. So, let me just throw this out there to dump some ice cold water on their claims: Maybe the informant didn't want to talk to the Democrats.

12) You know, seeing as how it was a Democrat administration, DoJ, and FBI that shut down the Uranium One investigation in the first place. Hmmm, wait, so if there's an original Uranium One investigation, was THAT partisan? Or was shutting it down partisan?

17) Gee, I wonder who's going around shitting on Douglass Campbell as a witness to Fake News journoperatives. Couldn't possibly be the same people who spiked the ball on the Uranium One investigation in the first place, ie the FBI seventh floor group.

18) Now, they bring up an unclassified briefing where they provide no citations or a link to any kind of transcript or recording of this meeting where the DoJ briefed the HPSCI and House Oversight committee on Douglass Campbell in relation to Uranium One.

20) Right away I smell bullshit. I'm trying to find any kind of transcription of this briefing like I said. In their letter, Cummings 'n Schiffhole claim that Douglas Campbell was assessed to be uncredible due to illegal activity from earlier than he disclosed he hid from the FBI

21) Ah, they quote that there was a 'high chance' of this, according to the DoJ briefings. That it was a 'godsend' they had an alternate charge to level against Mikerin, the 48 month sentence in 2015 that was the only resulting charge from Uranium One.

22) They quote that "at no point did [the individual] provide any allegation of corruption, illegality, or impropriety on Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, President Clinton, the Uranium One deal, or CFIUS."

23) They also claim that there was a separate classified briefing that they're trying to get declassified.

24) Their goal in this letter: to make sure there's a transcript made when they get to interview Douglas Campbell. And also all the allegations of quid pro quo with Clinton and Russia for orchestrating the unanimous 9 vote CFIUS decision.

25) Which is fake. Because reasons.

So, full stop here. This is a typical liberal bullshit tactic. They claim that a vast conspiracy of Russia paying Clinton via the Clinton Foundation and Bill Clinton speaking fees to engineer a 9-vote unanimous decision is fake.

26) That's not what Uranium One is about. Uranium One is about a massive bribery and kickback scheme that was under investigation by the FBI before it was swept under the rug and hidden from everyone except Hillary Clinton, who as SoS was paid to help with the sweeping.

27) Our allegations are and always have been that the fact that there was an investigation into the massive bribery and kickback scheme behind the Uranium One sale that should have been revealed to the members of the CFIUS, since the investigation didn't end until after the vote.

28) As to the reliability of the witness, we have no transcript to see what the DoJ officials said or the context, and known journoperatives of the Democrats pushing claims by anonymous DoJ officials involved in the investigation.

29) Now, while Nunes and DeSantis are pushing this, Gowdy is involved as well. Gowdy is a career prosecutor. He's the EXACT kind of person who should know how to judge a witness' reliability.

30) Rep Cummings, one of the heads of the CBC which is rabidly anti-Trump, and Rep Schiff, both of whom are career politicians (Schiff was an attorney for a bit too, but only rose to assistant attorney before entering politics. Served under the guy who fucked up OJ's trial)

31) Here's the thing about this letter: It was tailor made to fuel headlines. Expect to see a LOT of headlines about this letter, which makes a lot of grand accusations and assumptions and more accusations, all because they want a transcript of the interview with Douglas Campbell

32) See, this is where the Democrats are clever. A big accusatory letter of impropriety, partisanship, and smearing the absolute dogshit out of the GOP's witness... oh, and they want a transcript. Really, the transcript request was just an excuse to make headlines.

33) When you see the Fake News spinning, are they going to ever state the Democrats want a transcript? No. Its all going to be about 'the witness is unreliable!' 'Republicans have kept Democrats from speaking to the witness, except for the upcoming interview that is!'
