Other pending staff moves in West Wing include who replaces Jordan Karem, the exiting bodyman who has talked with at least one lobbying firm about a next act, per 2 ppl w direct knowledge. Leading candidate is Nick Luna, who is close to Karem and favored by many in White House.
The debate over the "bodyman" position - which Trump loyalist Johnny McEntee was marched out of over an alleged security clearance issue - has become the latest proxy battle in the pro-Kelly versus anti-Kelly world in the West Wing.
Trump offered Luna the job last week and he’s expected to be announced, but hasn’t been announced yet (and nothing in Trumpland is done till it’s announced). Luna is a known presence to Trump, having filled in for Karem repeatedly.

Interesting observation from Playbook: "ONE OF PELOSI'S skills is grinding down the opposition. Whether it was lawmakers in 2009 and 2010 agitating for the public option in health care reform...Pelosi is patient, and is able to bring people to her side."
Trump also grinds down the opposition, but not through patient strategy and selling - he overwhelms, attacks and exhausts his opponents/critics. But the basic goal by both is the same.
Pelosi has a lot of leverage right now, Trump has little. But he has only one consistent approach, which is doubling down, whether it is wise for him or not.

In discussion with a senior Democratic Hill official, the view of the Ivanka emails is that the volume may be different than Clinton's, but the alleged violation of law would very likely be the same from a presidential records act standpoint and if there was classified info sent
The official also points out that, like Ivanka Trump's aides, aides to Clinton initially said she sent no classified information.
The official notes that Dems will follow the normal order, which is sending a letter seeking compliance, on this and other issues as part of oversight "that Republicans have failed to do." The White House has signaled it will likely fight even small-scale requests.

...in suburban Phoenix starts here, at a T intersection at East Fairview St. and South 56 St., the closest one to Waymo’s vehicle depot in Chandler. Waymo’s vans sometimes have trouble finding a gap in traffic to turn left, frustrating people who say they get stuck behind them.
