Home Alone is SO unrealistic: Buzz’s bedroom circa 1990/91 has an Isaiah Thomas poster *and* a Chicago Bulls sticker? Please. No self-respecting fan of either team would have done that. (The movie was set outside of Chicago, so that should have been an MJ poster).
To those of you saying, “Isaiah was from Chicago!” Yes, but Buzz is about 13 or 14. This is what he’d know about Isaiah and Chicago:

Here’s a thread on some of the highlights from the 43 paged Wee Tracker report on Venture Capital funding in Africa over the last year.

Interesting numbers so far.
The year saw a record of USD 725.6 million injected and it is the highest ever injected into the African Ecosystem.

Now another thing I found interesting was - a huge chunk of that money is neither equity nor debt financing. It is, you guessed it - grant money.

A whooping 42.5% of that sum was grant/prize money.

This is good and bad news.

#VS-Mitarbeiter erzählt im #NSUUA, dass in der Auswertung zwischen "Neonazis" und "NPD" unterschieden wurde. Wer also aus den Freien Kräften kommt und in die NPD eintritt, wird nicht mehr unter "Neonazi" geführt.
So klingt die Zahl der Neonazis gleich ein bisschen besser ☝️
Gleich wurde übrigens mit "Überläufern" von organisierter Kriminalität und Neonazis bzw NPD verfahren, obwohl VS-Mitarbeiter selbst Fall nennt, in dem jemand aus Türsteher/Rockerszene auch im NPD-Ordnungsdienst aktiv war. #nsuuath
Noch mehr Hits: Mitarbeiter war zuständig für NPD-Vorstand, also auch für Thorsten Heise, aber nicht für dessen Musikvertrieb, zb von dem Song "Dönerkiller", in dem schon vor der Selbstenttarnung des Kerntrios die Mordserie des #NSU besungen wurde. #nsuuath

Okay, let's do a deep dive of the criminally underappreciated film "Reign of Fire."

Just some background before we begin, Reign of Fire is a post-apocalyptic fantasy film that was released in 2002.

You might not remember it because it came out the same year as another high profile fantasy film, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
For a seemingly forgettable B movie, the cast is bananas.

Christian Bale, 3 movies removed from American Psycho and 3 movies before Batman Begins.

Matthew McConaughey, stuck doing rom-coms, one film from The Wedding Planner and one film from How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.

Okay. Largely to indulge myself, but also because I've had frankly irresponsible encouragement and hypomania is a hell of a motivator, I present a slightly morbid thread of all the ways characters in Mass Effect (1-3) can die, plus random trivia. *Highly* mutable.
So this will not include characters that *have* to die, unless there are also earlier opportunities for them to die before their unavoidable demise.
Massive spoilers ahead, naturally.
Ready? Okay.
Starting off fairly simple. Kaidan Alenko and Ashley Williams.
Obviously one of them has to die on Virmire when Shepard blows up Saren's cloning facility.

Before I lose the idea. R76 and wax museum challenge.
I'm thinking Jack as a journalist, challenged to do the "one night in a wax museum" thing. (Since he lost a bet in his journalist company).

His boss wants a segment of his experience or something so Jack takes a vid camera, sleeping bag, notebooks and some necessities
His bet requires him to set up in the 'murderers' section for maximum fear factor and what not. Jack admits he's a little scared cause everything looks so real.

One of the statues is a guy called Gabriel Reyes. The story was that he murdered people around the city.
