Let him interview Case. If Gase is willing to give up play calling duties, change DC, and give a new QB a change (rookie or FA), then Gase can stay (with no ability to pick players). Otherwise, Gase can go as well.
When it comes to the draft, this new head needs to pick a QB in the 1st or 2nd round unless a quality FA shakes out. Otherwise, pick fast, smart, and physical players.
Other than QB, the next positions to take care of are OL and DL. Need to see the market on James or RT becomes a priority. Otherwise, solidifying the middle of the OL (future starter at LG, possibly a starter at C, and a swing guard) is vital.
On the DL, we need to find 2 starting DEs the next couple of drafts. Branch is a goner, Quinn is as well, and Wake is old. One needs to be drafted in the first 3 rounds next year. Also, a run stuffing NT needs to be found via FA or later in the draft.
Make sure the DEs played DE in college. It's possible we need a more instinctive MLB as well. See if one is available in the later end of the draft. Also, we need another corner in the draft THIS YEAR.
There needs to be a decision made at safety. McDonald is getting older and isn't that effective and Jones is getting there as well. Perhaps a true CF at safety is needed so that Fitzpatrick can move to SS the near future (he needs to be a player in the box, whether slot or S)
As for the rest of the offense, we need to get another X receiver (Butler is a starting point but need depth. Parker is gone bye bye). Sucks we used 2 picks on TE that aren't effective but hopefully either they develop or we need another one (Gray is back next yr).
