Survey asked black women to say who's among their top three candidates:

Harris: 71.1%
Beto: 38.3%
Biden: 25%
Booker: 24.2%
Warren: 22.3%
Abrams: 15.2%
Bernie: 12.1%

Early polls disproportionately weight toward name recognition, which is why Bernie and Biden tend to top them. But this problem Bernie has with this key base of the party is real.

Only 12% of black women listing Bernie as their first, second, or third place candidate is not good, because it's not for lack of name recognition. It's a determination, which could change!, but is a real issue for him.

I hate looking back at actresses of my or any generation and wondering ‘was it sexual harassment/abuse or just straight up industry sexism’ 🤬🤬🤬
But anyway, as good as Hanks performance was the movie wouldn’t have worked unless @Elizbethperkins wasn’t equally good. And back to the greatness of Penny Marshall, in both cases.

Has the autocorrect (in general and/or on the X) gotten more authoritarian or am I just blaming technology for my own failings?
As a dyslexic, spell checkers allowed me to, well, do my job. I was very fearful of autofill and am decently careful when dealing with words—and there are lots—that i struggle with. But I don’t bother to look at those I don’t. Except maybe now I must.
By “authoritarian” I mean going beyond the general “ducking” for “fucking” stuff and replacing non-swear words you’ve spelled correctly with other words

I know that’s two white guys weighing in on a key moment—passport, really—of Black history but if you listen I swear you will not be disappointed. Or you can come back and yell at us all here.

Tactically, that the DNC is seeding and pushing Beto 2020 right, trying to artificially build up a hype and some kind of momentum this early really means they think Beto's utility is to split support off from Sanders perhaps to benefit Biden when he brings Beto in on his ticket.
What the Beto astroturfers don't seem to realise though is that the idea O'Rourke is a progressive is not a credible representation. Hence the fury and scorn at those like @davidsirota who use simple voting record and funding stats to deconstruct this weakly fabricated mythology.
Ideologically speaking there are no major Democrat or Democrat adjacent potential candidates ('big names' suggested so far as credible) that could be described as consistently progressive. Sanders is the most (by far on domestic policy) but he is still too Conservative on FP.

Left's been calling Cohen a liar & crook all this time, until he suddenly claimed Trump was racist, after he was indicted. Now they believe him b/c it's fits their narrative.

As I'm decompressing from @Politicon, there is one observation that I'd be remiss in not sharing:

It is clear that a certain chunk of the electorate is hooked on the serotonin rush of rage. Not just on the right. Also on the left.

The socialists panel was notable for the rabid noise NOT JUST from the MAGAs in the room, but ALSO from the far left Bernie people.

It was so noticeably similar I was taken aback.

I heard so many brilliant people speak today. So many valuable opinions shared. Particularly galvanized by @ZerlinaMaxwell and her comments on women, and women of color in particular, at this moment in time.

I make most of my money on here by talking about news and politics, giving resistance pep talks, interpreting Trump tweets and other regime actions. Just Little Resistance Things.

But I refuse to make my account just that, to make it a purpose-specific Hashtag Resistance account
And I also categorically won't make a separate account for just that stuff. And I won't do silly games to try to artificially increase my following like "RT if impeachment soon" or "RT to show Putin's puppet what you think" or "follow for more details as it unfolds".
