At this moment I’d like to remind you of a frequent tactic of abusers when confronted with their actions:

DARVO = Deny, attack, reverse victim and offender.

Abusers are often extremely manipulative and self-loathing people who will do anything to blame others for their behaviour. They are the real victim!

If they can’t straight-up accuse their victims of lies, exaggeration, or vindictiveness— (2/3)
—thereby adding to the already high feelings of self-blame victims struggle with, they will blame LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE as to blame for their actions.

They’re especially fond of blaming things unable to fight back...

...such as fictional characters. (3/3)
