Stata-user friends: plz make prettier graphs in 2019. I wrote up a little guide with reproducible syntax. You just need to plug-and-play, ok? Sharing is caring.

Disclaimer: I wrote most of this on a plane so plz forgive typos.

also: special shout-out to @DanBischof, who got me interested in all this stuff with his scheme packages. cite him if you use them!
Also, while you’re here, read @thosjleeper’s piece on saving high-res graphics. I usually import graphics into paint.net for trimming whitespace, but Thomas’ tips here are essential reading!

Ah man I forgot maybe my favorite part: this little loop will recode your variables on a 0 to 1 scale, which is super handy for coefplot. Renames the variables with their original variable name plus “01.”
A quick addendum. My default background color is set to white so the code doesn’t manipulate that. Simply add the following to your code to say “bye” to the blue background:

graphregion(color(white))

Will update the example accordingly in a bit.
graphregion looped into all the code here:

i've also placed the .do file for the examples on my website at: nicholastdavis.com
