15 K RT's for this embarrassingly false tweet The official Senate Score showed that the tax bill you are referencing would increase the deficit by 28 billion in 2018. That's 1.4% of the debt increase you are blaming that bill for.

Rest was approved w/ votes from both parties.
If you're going to accuse someone else of a "flat out falsehood," you should at least have the fact to back it up.

We have a serious debt problem. It's mostly a spending problem, not a revenue problem. Mulvaney deflecting blame on Democrats is a cop out, but it's factually true that both parties have been complicit in contributing to this spending problem.

Exactlt the type of dishonest reporting that I was referring to. The headline is indisputably false.

1) It focuses on relative conviction rates in Texas (conviction rates do not equal crimes rates, esp among illegal populations)

2) It intentionally ignores certain crimes.
50-60% of illegal immigrants in the U.S. committed the crime of illegal entry (though Visa overstays have been trending up). That alone makes it impossible for the headline to be true. On top of that, many commit crimes like id and benefit theft, but are never caught/prosecuted.
A lot of illegal immigrants have to use fraudulent documents to get work. Of course you can certainly argue the necessity of doing so and mitigating circumstances, but just dishonest to exclude those crimes to fit this narrative.

Border security is immoral. ICE should be defunded. Gov't funded green new deal, jobs guarantee, Medicare for all. 70% income tax brackets. Support for BDS.

Add in Trumpian style ignorance, arrogance, dishonesty, and demagoguery.

Is this really the direction Dems want to go?
People ask why R's want to talk about AOC? it's because media is promoting her as representative of the Dem direction and she makes for a great foil. R's are happy to run against this stuff.
Of course what's best for the Republican Party isn't what's best for the country. The country is much better served by Democrats moving in the complete opposite direction, but that's up to them.

Acosta is such an embarrassment to his network and fellow reporters. Has he ever asked a substantive question?

He’s literally just framing insults as questions. I’m sure partisans will cheer it on, but it’s not productive or consistent with his role.
What substance can you get from “will you promise the President will tell the truth tonight?” It’s an attack, not a question. And after she called him out, he followed it up with more insults.

You can’t complain about being labeled the opposition when you behave like it.
And you don’t need to like Trump or Conway to recognize how inappropriate his behavior is as a WH correspondent. Can you ever imagine Tapper asking a question like that?

.@jctgov confirmed GOP tax bill will add $1tril to the federal deficit, even after accounting for economic growth. We know that will force automatic cuts to Medicare - but what else will be slashed to pay for tax cuts to corporations that send jobs overseas?
Here are just a few:
Border Security: @CustomsBorder's operations and support will be cut by $1.3 billion. That makes U.S. borders less secure overall and takes critical resources away from Customs and Border Patrol officers working to keep fentanyl from entering Ohio communities.

I really don’t know where @SenBobCorker is going with this idea of a “trigger,” but it’s critical that he is asked some specific questions this week to hold him to his promises. 1/
Those questions include:

(A) how is he applying his preferred “current policy” baseline to the Senate tax bill, given its many sunsetting provisions?

(B) what revenue levels need to be hit to avoid the trigger? 2/
