For the last 3 years I’ve taken a one second video every day. This year, I’ve edited all 3 years together into one huge mashup:

6 months before I started taking these videos I moved to NYC by myself (6 days after graduating high school and 4 days after turning 18) with a laptop and enough money for the summer

Every college I wanted to go to rejected me, so instead I just focused on my own projects. Within a month of that decision I had $0 and no idea what to do next

These videos are the story of me fighting to build a life for myself here in NYC. In the past 3 years I’ve:

🏡 Lived in 10 different apartments/hostels/etc in NYC
💸 Gone completely broke 4 times
🏙 Moved from a basement office in Brooklyn to the 85th floor of the World Trade Center

⚡️ Designed, tested, built, or launched dozens of products (maybe 100+?)
🚀 Launched 15 products in 1 year (westvesey.com/p/f0ca6597-474…)

📈 Started 3 companies, shut down 2
✌🏼 Interviewed with Y Combinator (rejected 3 times) @ycombinator
📊 Bootstrapped a business that consistently grosses just shy of $10k/mo

⭐️ Been featured by hundreds of media outlets like The Washington Post, The Independent, and VICE
🎙 Interviewed by Ryan Holiday @RyanHoliday (observer.com/2016/02/how-ru…)
👨🏻‍🎓 Spoke about my story as an entrepreneur at NYU, 3 years after they rejected me

💪🏼 Gone from barely being able to do 15 pushups on my 20th birthday to having a max bench of ~250 1 year later
🚴🏼‍♂️ Biked 700 miles in one summer
🤕 Broke my nose

🇨🇳 Spent 1 month in China (Qingdao, Shanghai, Beijing)
❤️ Met hundreds (thousands?) of fascinating people from all over the world and developed countless friendships
