How a Corper’s ’richness’ hindered her from getting employed today...

So I am looking for a youth Corper to fill specific roles in my department.

What I am on the lookout for in an individual is: teachability, flexiblity and importantly a person with fire in their bellies...
Looking at her, I was in doubt she was a struggling Corper. She looked like she needed a place to sign attendance at, every month, not necessarily the stipend she would be paid.

She had an iPhone and a shiny Apple wristwatch sitting pretty on her wrist.
First thought that crossed my mind was ’probably techy...

The next thought was ”this one don chop belleful, will she be willing go grind”...

I was quite undecided about her, to be honest...
After the interview I looked through the window and saw the latest Lexus with tinted glasses and covered number plates drive into the compound to pick her up...

I made up my mind there and then, ”this Corper no go hear word”. 🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♀️
If Nigerians were not afflicted with the virus of reading to respond rather than to comprehend, they would note the words:

’fire in their bellies’

’I can't come and kill myself vibe’

I pray for understanding to the daft section of the Nigerian populace

So I decided to grocery shop after work and I was almost robbed on Admiralty road ... Apparently thieves scout around Access Bank, Sailor’ Lounge, Adiba and Daytona supermarkets... Looking for ladies driving alone

I needed to buy refills for my water dispenser... Ebeano and Adiba had no Cway.

So I crossed the road on foot from Adiba to Daytona with my empty bottles to find out if they had any...

I suspect I was spotted by the thieves in that moment.
Luckily, Daytona had Cway refills, so I left my empty bottles and decided to drive and park at Daytona so it wouldn’t be a hassle to load the new water bottles in my trunk...

#Thread I was triggered to write this by a status I saw over the weekend which was figuratively calling people who aren't entrepreneurs fools.
You must have seen similar ones like it. The one where they will claim you're building somebody else's dreams if you work 8-4 or 9-5.
The earlier you people who peddle entrepreneurship realised that not everyone is cut out for the business world, the better it would be for everybody.
You think I'm not living the life I dreamt of just because I answer to a boss? *Just let people do what they love, man.*
How difficult is that for you to understand?

If you're truly an entrepreneur in Nigeria and you sell real goods and services, you can't paint entrepreneurship ( in Nigeria) as exciting, attractive and something only foolish people will not venture into.

Natalia Veselnitskaya had been working on the Prevezon case for years, but in 2014 she involved herself drafting of the official response to the DoJ's invocation of a treaty for legal assistance.

She sent the evidence that she worked with the Kremlin to SDNY prosecutors.

2/ Opponents of the "administrative state" frame their key premise like this: although many members of our government are elected, there are thousands of unelected administrators with responsibilities that collectively overwhelm the authority of elected officials.
3/ While there are many such unelected officials in government, an enormous proportion of them are appointed directly by elected officials. So voters need to keep in mind that when we vote for a candidate, we are, by extension, voting for these appointed administrators.
