And the burden is on the Gilets Jaunes to articulate a governing philosophy that's not only *not* ludicrous on the face of it but which might be an improvement on things or France, which happens to be one of the world's best governed countries.
So far, the ideas they're suggesting are nuts.

And the means by which many are advocating them are disgusting: violence, physically attacking ministers and the free press, sending savage, racist death threats to elected ministers, brawling with the police ...
and then sticking their follow citizens with a massive, multi-billion clean-up Euro bill after every one these expressions of "colère." Harming property, and honest businesses, tanking the economy, and thus making it vastly *less* likely that they'll get what they want--
which is, basically, a bigger share of the hand-out pie, The GJs have not led to a single good thing for France, as far as I can see, and the chances that they will are zero.

Why take a powerful country with a standard of living and political system the whole world envies--
-- and destroy it, because you're bored? I'm really not convinced there's much more coherent program than that at work. Obviously the left wants a far- left revolution (because those have always and everywhere worked so well before) and the right wants a right-wing revolution.
Neither can happen without a lot of violence and killing. The far-right and left, but both have deeply infiltrated themselves in the movement, to the point that they're running the show. The vision of France both extremes have in mind is loathsome to the majority of France.
So I don't get why the French put up with this.
