Right-wing activist Laura Loomer, last seen chaining herself to Twitter HQ, has jumped the fence at Nancy Pelosi's Napa home and set up a tent protesting immigration. Now she's chanting "Nancy, Nancy!"
Laura Loomer has walked off the stream, on her way to Pelosi's house. One of her crew is claiming that it's legal to jump the fence because there were no "no trespassing" signs. I don't know about that!
One of Loomer's pals is urging viewers to come and ask for "sanctuary" at Pelosi's house. He claims they'll be allowed to stay and won't get in legal trouble because "we're not antifa." Hmm!
Now Laura Loomer is back and saying she tried to open the doors to Pelosi's house, but they were locked. This seems like an unwise thing to be admitting!
For lack of anything better to do, Laura Loomer is now carrying her tent back and forth on Nancy Pelosi's lawn
The police have arrived! But Loomer and crew are refusing to give identification, saying "Gavin Newsom said we don't need ID's." Cops aren't thrilled.
Loomer has claimed the guys in yellow jackets she brought with her are undocumented immigrants. It's not clear whether that's true, but they are getting a lot of attention from the police, appear unable to give ID. One cop says Loomer has really put the guys in a tough spot.
Laura Loomer is finally kicked off Nancy Pelosi's lawn. Loomer asks if she can go back and get her "IMMORALITY" tent.
No arrest for Laura Loomer, who's being let off with a warning for trespassing at Nancy Pelosi's house / trying the doors on the house to see if they were locked.

This Trump prayer rugs tweet is based on a Washington Examiner story claiming prayer rugs are being found on the border. But the story has no pictures of the rugs, and is based entirely on one anonymous rancher's claim that she's seen prayer rugs.
The whole prayer rugs on the border thing is an ancient right-wing talking point. In 2014, another "prayer rug" was discovered on the border. It turned out to be an Adidas shirt. gawker.com/breitbart-com-…

Unlike other social media, #Twitter has the habit of shaming new entrants/ supporters of causes by saying - "This has been discussed here for years." So what? The insider groups formed here as just as bad as those found IRL. Perhaps worse, for they aren't immediately visible.
Whenever I see cases of online shaming in the name of causes, I worry for the recipient's mental health. Insider groups of all kinds indulge in online shaming. I haven't seen a single group that doesn't do this, so would love to know of Twitter handles that don't indulge in this.
The democratic set-up of #Twitter is among its best aspects, so a late (perhaps younger) entrant is as entitled to learn here as the older, established tweeters.

This is exactly as incoherent a strategy / message as I’d expect from her.
I’m not Jewish, but I tend to see Laura Loomer’s “yellow star” to protest her loss of Twitter verification as... pretty goddamn anti-Semitic.

Not having a blue check mark on Twitter = the Holocaust?

That’s offensive as hell.
Oh. Apparently Laura Loomer is protesting her ban from Twitter with the yellow star — not the loss of her checkmark, because that came earlier.

I still say equating a Twitter ban with the Holocaust is a horribly minimizing and gross move.

Okay here’s the thing. Most of the refugees I know don’t like to talk about it, but watching the inhumanity of this #immigration policy makes me want to mention a couple things. I was one of those kids clinging to his mom, seeking asylum... (1/16)
I spent five years (5-10) sleeping under my bed and soiling myself with anxiety. If my mom was less than 15 minutes late coming home, I would enter a full physical panic that she had been taken (she was once by the secret police in our country).
My dreams were almost entirely narratives of watching my parents taken and killed. And you have to understand, once we left our country, I didn’t leave my mother’s side for three years. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if I’d been put in those cages.
