Here's the problem that many in the 'new media' would wish to go away, but it won't.

A good investigative report is a credit to the journalist, not always to a publication that uses a few good reports to claim it is engaged in serious journalism, while peddling substandard garbage most of the time. People lose trust, and good journalists suffer the most.
I feel for @JessicaHuseman who prematurely stood up for Buzzfeed out of loyalty to a friend.
There is mass psychosis among journos when it comes to covering Trump. Journos are too eager to buy any rancid, evidence-free hearsay in their zeal to 'get Trump.'

This kind of says it all. An occasional good investigative report doesn't excuse shoddy work like this.
