1/ Once a criminal case becomes ‘live’ it is subject to the provisions of the Contempt of Court Act 1981. A case becomes ‘live’ following one of a number of legal triggers, including arrest
2/ Contempt of Court exists to protect the integrity of proceedings, preserve access to justice for victims and to secure the rights of the accused.
3/ Any published information which creates a substantial risk that the course of justice will be seriously impeded or prejudiced is contempt where a case is ‘live’.
4/ Contempt is punishable by up to two years in prison and/or a fine

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

The latter. Assume this were a run-of-the-mill Title VII case; typically Plaintiff's attorneys strike at the point they have maximum leverage, which Ford had. You delay when you hope some external event will turn up useful info instead

She may very well be telling the truth. But the FBI is not going to investigate, because even if we assume she's telling the 100% truth, there's no *federal* crime that took place. It's a dodge.

1) Tommy Robinson was arrested last Friday for "Breaching The Peace" outside of a courtroom. Inside the court, jurors were considering verdicts for the defendants that Tommy was recording. #FreeTommy #FreeTommyRobinson #FreeSpeech
2) Here are the cases and the schedule. Because the grooming gang was so large, there are three total cases. Two of them are shown here with the current schedule.
3) The Jury had retired to consider the verdict. Knowing this, Tommy pointed out the overnight bags of the defendants when they were entering the courthouse. Tommy suspected the verdicts were in and would be delivered on that day.

This seems like a good time to explain reporting restrictions and Contempt of Court.

The Contempt of Court Act 1981 covers several types of offences but is particularly important for governing how criminal proceedings are reported

The whole aim of the act is to safeguard the judicial process and prevent a jury being "prejudiced" - swayed or affected by what they read or hear outside of court

If they are, people can be wrongly convicted/acquitted or trials have to be stopped and restarted
The law kicks in as soon as proceedings are "active", which happens when someone is arrested, a warrant is put put, charged or summoned to court

Before that happens it's a free for all, and you'll notice the number of articles on a case drop and details get cut

The judge in Tommy Robinson's case, Denise Marson, pulled a neat trick today.

She threw him in jail for 13 months, and banned anyone in the UK from talking about it.

A year ago, Tommy was convicted of Contempt of Court for filming 4 defendants who were alleged to have gang-raped a young woman. His sentence was suspended.

Under UK law, that doesn't matter - there is *strict liability* for *criminal* contempt charges.
