I’ll never get over the audacity of people living on stolen land tilled by kidnapped people talking about “Build a Wall” as if they’re not the danger.
“Build the wall or else they’re going to come in, rape our women, steal our children, claim our land and devastate our nation!” No, that’s what YOU did. You did that.
The “wall” is a childish projection of the intense fear of experiencing what they have done to others.
*Repeatedly done to others
The wall is an illogical, rudimentary, caveman approach to fixing immigration issues because it is not designed to fix anything. It is a practically ineffective soothing balm for those who hate brown people outside the context of them washing dishes/raising their kids for cheap.
Thanks for attending this conference. If you’ll make your way to the main hall you’ll find absolutely nothing to eat
“They should come here the right way!” screamed someone whose entire life has been bankrolled by their parents via inherited wealth created directly by unearned privileges.
“They’re not coming the right way!” I’d argue walking in like you own the place is the American way and they’re not even doing that.
This “Build a wall” approach is like someone breaking into a house, murdering the family, then after a week or so looking around and saying, “We really gotta do something about security in this place.”
The U.S was taken by force from brown people who were systematically slaughtered and then brought to wealth by black people who were systematically kidnapped, tortured, murdered and forced under fear of death to work. And you want to talk about a wall. Sick.
“We gotta protect what we built.” You won’t even protect the backs it was built on. Sick.
I’m not going to argue with adults who think like...I can’t even say children or animals because kids don’t think like this and animals display more compassion than so many adults...I’m just going to tell you to grow up. Not as an insult, but as a prompt. Grow. Up.
Recognize how much of your life was purchased by others and let that knowledge direct how you respond to the children of those who paid for it- and those living the life you would be had your unearned privileges not gone ahead of you, paving people into the yellow brick road

Ok not easy but simple. And more importantly, the right thing to do for everyone’s healing.
