@SenJoniErnst Basically @SenJoniErnst hid behind the fantasy that Ford was somehow assaulted by somebody other than Kavanaugh. Which is worse coming from somebody who has themselves been raped and feared coming forward.
@SenJoniErnst So I wish her every healing, but this should—must—be a key issue when she seeks reelection in 2020.

I mean maybe now that we’re finally gaining power we can let go of the Minnie Mouse look?
I suppose they are fun (🙅‍♀️) on a fashion shoot or a special night but it’s semi insane this is a must-do for women hosts/guests on TV news

Is there a piece that explains (such as these things can ever be explained) the logic of who's being laid off at BuzzFeed? Entire desks seems both drastic and purposeful
Also this sucks, we have some jobs open, and hang in there. Also, everyone who's left should push for a union rn.

I'm a sociologist who studies adolescent sexual violence. On this thread, I will be live tweeting the #Kavanaugh hearing, chiming in with sociological insights and research findings.
Full disclosure--I will probably step away for parts of it. While many conservatives have cast feminists as people who rejoice at allegations of sexual assault against powerful men, this is a painful process for us. We know survivors. We are survivors. And I will need breaks.
It does not bode well that the beginning of this hearing is starting with equating #Kavanaugh and #Ford's experiences with harassment following Dr. Ford's allegations. They are absolutely not the same.

And is also trying to claim Senate Dems betrayed Dr. Ford, by leaking to the press.

McConnell is currently praising the integrity of Chuck Grassley, and letting loose on Senate Democrats.

Is also criticizing the veracity of Dr. Ford's story, and trying to paint her as unreasonable for having accommodation requests.
McConnell: "But the smear campaign didn't just stop there!"

McConnell is now trying to smear @RonanFarrow @JaneMayerNYer's New Yorker story about Deborah Rodriguez. Claiming the allegation is so thin, NYT refused to run the Rodriguez story.
