So... are flights into LGA grounded, DC airspace closed, and this is The End? Or is there a 41-min delay at LGA like what's been happening for weeks but coded differently? Careful reporting, clear language badly needed here to avert another epistemic collapse story in the making.
The idea that this is of a kind with what's been happening throughout the shutdown but FAA staffers are coding it differently to send a message comes from here. (One can interpret this for or against The End, of course, but it seems less a sharp break.)
This sure doesn't look like D.C. airspace being "shut down entirely."
