So I was sent this picture of Jay Gruden’s call sheet from the #Redskins game against the Giants in Week 8 by a follower. Zoom in and you can get a good look at some play calls. Let’s make a fun thread on a few of them...

Here we have "Gun Bunch Right Y Left 382 Z Arrow Y Lookie". Bunch right is the formation, with Y left telling TE Jordan Reed to motion left out of the bunch. 382 is the protection, Z arrow is what most will know as the spot concept, Y lookie is essentially a choice route.

This is pretty much the same concept. Call is "Gun Bunch Right 83 Z Arrow HB Choice". Bunch formation to the right with the same Arrow concept, but this time the RB running the choice route on the back side.

This play is called "Gun Cluster Right Z Right 2 Jet Z Winston U Choice". The Cluster is a bunch formation, but with different personnel. the tag "right" is because the Y TE is still to the right of the formation. Z motions right and along with the TE, runs the Winston concept.

One of my fav #Redskins concepts here. "Gun Double Right Tout Ride 2 Jet Philly". Stole this concept from Chip Kelly's Eagles, hence the term "Philly". Double Right Tout is a 2x2 formation with the TE split from the core. Pure progression read 1-5, but usually goes to 3 or 4

Here's "Gun Double Right Tout 2 Jet All Go Thunder". Same formation as the previous play. All go is 4 verts, but the "Thunder" tag tells the outside receivers to run a thunder route, which is a quick hitch that can convert to other routes depending on the coverage.

On the first play of the game, the #Redskins ran "Gun Trips Right 383 Yo-Yo X Dragon". Yo-Yo is the concept to the right, with Reed running to the flat behind 2 blockers. Dragon is the WCO term for a slant-flat combination.

Last one, at least for now. "Cluster Left Hulk 3 Jet Z Cruise Y Basic". Cluster Left Hulk is a bunch formation to the right, with the TE flexed (Hulk), to the left. Cruise is the #Redskins adjustment on the Sail concept, while the TE runs a basic cross on the back side.
