FACT: More than 43% of U.S. households are struggling to afford food, housing, health care, and other basic necessities for human survival.
FACT: 5.3 million people in the U.S. are living in what the United Nations has called “third world conditions of absolute poverty.”
FACT: 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. don’t have even $400 in the bank—putting them one missed paycheck or unexpected expense away from poverty.
