In 2011 I was bitten by a tick. I have a brain tumor/IIH & such severe intestinal damage that I CANNOT digest food w/out enteral food RX. It's $198/wk, even w/pharma discount. My (now) 77-year-old Mom is my caregiver but she can't afford it. Don't have enough to eat/save 🏡. 😭

I contracted E
Chaffeensis, Rickettsia of unknown etiology, & #LymeDisease. I just had 8th spinal tap to relieve pressure on my brain.
I'd been on antibiotics for 19 yrs.
I caught Coxsackie B4 virus-a cousin of polio. Lost most use of (L) side.
I wasn't treated for 11 mos. #Lyme

By then it was too late. The infection went to my brain & spinal cord; Coxsackie B4 has left me w/a walker.
Prior to this I was a practicing trial lawyer.
During 1 of MULTIPLE hospitalizations I caught Vanc-resistant C. Difficile. I had it for 3.5 yrs. & 2 FM transplants. 💔

The disease ravaged my intestines. I have malabsorbtion problems. I drink a protein drink every day to get my vitamins + minerals.
I also drink a mix of 🍍 juice, water, Na to keep my electrolytes stable.
I have to drink EnteraGam @$198/mo. to DIGEST FOOD. We can't afford it. 😥

Here it is. Every month, we have to raise $198, even w/ a pharmaceutical scholarship.
I'm also on Stanford University based FODMAP diet.
As most of you know, it's very expensive to eat healthy.
My 77-year-old mom is my caregiver. We get $1.50/day for food-SNAP.

We went through our life savings b4 the #ACA. My mom spent her 401K bc I was in a high risk pool-the very type of #healthinsurance the GOP has recreated.
We are trying to save our home (of 47 yrs for me & 50 for my mom).
We're humiliated having to beg for $$ on Twitter. #wishes

Besides the fact that if my 77-year-old mom passes b4 me, the bank would have me on the street instantly, our home's all we have left of my brother & father.
My brother was killed when he was 19, I was 14, & my mom was 38.
My Dad died 19 days after their 40th wedding anniversary.

My Dad was dx w/terminal cancer 2 mos after I was sworn in as attorney. I'd gone to law school to be able to take care of my parents.
I closed my law office & moved back home to become my Dad's caregiver.
Now my mom is mine.
She wants to die in the same bed she shared w/my Dad.

My mom also wants to be sure I have our home to live in.
She worked until she was 75 & I worked my entire life until I was bitten by a tick.
We have to raise $198/mo for my enteral food RX. We don't have enough to eat + trying to save our home.
Even $5 or $10 will help.

I filed for #disability in 2015. Multiple people have vetted me & have seen medical records.

@Alyssa_Milano Please help us! I've just had my 8th spinal tap & the next step is a brain shunt.
I'm in #ChronicPain.
My #chronicillness forced my mom to become full-time caregiver at age 75-her supposed "Golden Years".
The GOP & #TrumpsAmerica.
We did everything "right" yet here we are.

@Alyssa_Milano I have 8 Dr appts just in February.
I did aqua therapy/physical therapy for over a year to strengthen my weakened left side/atrophying muscles. I still must use a walker. My mom has to load/unload it at age 77. She drives me everywhere; helps bathe/dress me.
