everything in this. this is the advice i give, but with a systems approach. and it’s true. a lot of people will tell you you can’t charge more, and bozos won’t pay. that doesn’t mean you can’t change your situation radically. i did.
before i took my first 3 actual job jobs (19-23), i was a freelancer for bozos. after i quit, i became a consultant for serious clients. my skills hadn’t changed all that much, only my attitude and presentation.
i went from getting regularly fucked over at $45 an hour to getting paid every damn time at $200+.
the thing about leveling up is that it’s an INTERNAL change. no amount of “paying your dues” will suddenly make it happen. *you* have to make it happen.

this is what people mean when they talk about “mindset,” but they talk about it as if it’s a thing to HAVE. (like “experience” or “connections”.) but having THINGS doesn’t change your results. that’s passivity.
