2nd tweet has pics of 3 of the 5 juveniles as law allows pics of anyone over 13 charged w/ murder. Youngest of the 5 was 12.

Calling out hypocrisy is a waste of time. It convinces no one, makes you look like a scold, and the people who do it always fail to resolve the hypocrisy by articulating a consistent principle. Just say what you believe.
I’ve seen tons of these tweets in the past 24 hours: “my opponent is against separating families but supports abortion” and “my opponent is against abortion but supports separating families.” But then neither side comes out and states their philosophy on abortion and immigration.
Not to mention the “hypocrisy” is mostly made up. Majority of Catholics I know are not only anti-abortion, they adopt babies, give money to women’s shelters, support welfare, and oppose capital punishment and family separation at the border. Never praised for being “consistent.”

I reviewed Gary Wills' book, What the Quran Means, for @americamag. Wills is a Pulitzer Prize-winning Catholic author.

In this thread, I summarize the book and outline some pros and cons I saw:

Wills' writes about his experience reading the Quran. He encountered familiar characters he knew from the Bible — Adam, Moses, Jesus, Mary, John the Baptist.

"The overall tenor [of the Quran] is one of mercy and forgiveness, which are evoked everywhere, almost obsessively."
Wills writes a lot about the Quran's content, but spends little time discussing its significance in Muslims' lives.

He could have explained how in Islam the Quran plays a role similar to that of Jesus in Christianity: the 'Word made flesh.'

Alvin is holding the tail so no one eats 💩.
Our cattle have 3 or 4 digit id numbers and each freeze brand number needs to be held in place for 1 minute.
