NEW: Roger Stone is taking a swing at the special counsel's office – his lawyers just filed a motion asking the judge to look into whether the govt wrongly released Stone's indictment before the docket was unsealed assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5736…
Stone's lawyers suggest the early morning release of Stone's indictment by Mueller's office was how news outlets knew to be at Stone's house for the arrest. But the filing doesn't provide evidence that the indictment was sent out *before* Stone's arrest
Per today's filing, Stone was arrested at 6:06am. An email from Mueller's office to reporters, with a link to the indictment, went out a few minutes later (my email has it time-stamped 6:17am). Stone's filing has a text from a reporter to Stone's lawyer with that link at 6:22am
Stone's lawyers said they found metadata that the indictment sent by SCO was last *modified* on Jan. 23, but nothing about it being sent pre-arrest. Ultimately, they focus on the release of the doc prior to the docket unsealing (not whether reporters got a pre-arrest tip)

Mueller's sentencing memo in Paul Manafort's DC case was due today -- it's not quite midnight, but as I need to sleep, here's what may be going on assuming it doesn't show up in the next 45 min: 1. They've filed under seal, and once a redacted version is okay'd we'll get it soon
2. They missed the deadline. Option 1 is what's happened in the past during the plea deal breach briefing (and sometimes the lawyers wouldn't publicly confirm they'd filed at all), and is much more likely than option 2.
Which is all to say -- night owl @chrisgeidner will be up in case something happens, so follow him, but also get some sleep, enjoy your life!

Shortly after a judge entered a gag order on Roger Stone, the account @MrRogerStone posted this tweet, which was soon deleted, but screenshots circulated widely (I've verified the original tweet is real). Stone says he does not run that account and doesn't comm with whoever it is
@MrRogerStone The Twitter account is now suspended. There's another account called @StoneColdRoger, which links to Stone's Facebook page, but Stone says he isn't running that account either, doesn't know who is, and doesn't have any communication with it
You may recall that Roger Stone was banned from Twitter in October 2017, and sources at the time told BuzzFeed News that the suspension was permanent buzzfeednews.com/article/salvad…
