"National Emergency" Act has been declared 58 times since it was enacted in 1976. There are 31 of those that are still in effect. Don't let the media lie to you about this. Don't believe me, research it yourself.
Let's be completely clear that if you are against this, then you are complicit in human/drug/sex trafficking. Compassion is not just caring for people, but doing what's best for them. Having laws that encourage this behavior causes death, rape & exploitation.
Businesses will fight this because they want cheap labor. Government will fight this because most of them are leaning toward "open borders." Activists will fight this because they think they are helping people when in reality, you are just encouraging these crimes to be committed
I'm not a racist, a xenophobe or any other ad hominem you want to call me. I actually care about all people. You wouldn't give an alcoholic more alcohol, you wouldn't give a gambling addict money. Stop enabling human traffickers to harm and exploit people who want to enter.
CONGRESS, do your job for once in your life instead of taking money from lobbyist who have an interest in open borders. Pass reasonable immigration laws so no one else has to be harmed. I want legal immigrants in our country, but we can't reward those who cheat the system.
