The thing about the awful replies to this is that it barely matters who Democrats nominate in 2020. Change comes from demands from below, not from a single leader in the presidency. Force politicians to do what we want and they will respond.
I mean, yes, obviously the nominee matters on the margins. But it isn't worth tearing hair out, gnashing teeth, and destroying anyone who disagrees with your choice of another, probably pretty similar Democrat.
What is disappointing overall is that for all the left talks about power coming from the people, all anyone focuses on is the presidential nominee. That's pretty much opposite of our stated beliefs.
I mean, Bernie or Booker or Klouchbar, there ain't nothing getting past the Senate barring far more meaningful structural reform than whoever occupies the Oval Office.
