As some of you may know, I have been doing about 95% of my postings and maintenance of my site on my cell phone. This has been pretty difficult because of a phones limited input speed. Typing takes longer, switching tabs in a browser takes longer, everything is more difficult.
Through all of your generous donations to Just The Real News, I was able to purchase a Chromebook AND upgrade my cellphone service to allow me to tether it while mobile. This has improved my life DRAMATICALLY.
I can post 3 releases in the time it took to do just one from my phone now.

The increased mobility also allows me to be upstairs with my family when I am at home and working. This has helped relieve stress and tension between my wife and I.
So to everybody who had donated to support what I do, and I cannot stress how much it means to me enough, THANK YOU.
Thank you to those of you who almost religiously share my posts and efforts. With your help, we have finally gotten the dial moving again. I had been stuck at 19.3k for the longest time and recently that has risen to 19.5k.
Please continue liking, commenting, and sharing my content to help inform the masses of what is going on in our government. Knowing what is happening will help us keep our government accountable and help you better argue your positions when having discussions with "opponents"

1/ Exploit APIs / extensibility in systems is an ongoing problem. But there's a lot going on here. It isn't so straight forward as "bad actors", "blocking", "cat and mouse". Defensive design of APIs/extensibility gets to heart of building products (biz or consumer). Image of puzzle pieces
2/ Nearly every successful product has APIs and/or extensibility to be tapped by a community--pro developers, enthusiasts, and/or customers. Extensibility is critical to creating a product that customers can rely on to be tuned to their business process.
3/ In early stage you just expose an API (data, plugins, functionality) and *hope* people take advantage of it. Often these are exposed in a way that enables an early adopter to do something with the product that they could not do "as is". Super helpful!

Cell phones are a crucial aspect of today's life, personal and professional.

It's not feasible to NOT use them. The support structure is no longer in place to get by without a phone in your pocket.

You can't walk into a business and ask to use their phone, like before.
So, unless a person is willing to go to great pains and heavy tradeoffs to not have a cell phone, their use is required.

But we have three options: Apple/iOS, Google/Android (soon Fuchsia), Feature Phones.

For Smart Phones, their are only two options Apple & Google.
These are shit options, for a couple of reasons:

1) Closed source. Both blackboxes. You don't know what's fully running on either. Even though Android is "open sourced", the amount of binary blobs prevent real knowledge.
