1/ Unsurprisingly, Zelensky does not accept Honcharuk’s resignation. Yet a very interesting meeting, in which Zelensky - unshaven, w/o a tie, and visibly exhausted - is seriously telling off Honcharuk on a long list of faults of his govt.…
2/ In particular on Honcharuk’s relationship with the parliamentary committees, effectiveness of his government (highlighting MinEcon, Min of Culture and M. Of Veterans), question of salaries for ministers and senior management (to tell them to curb their appetites)..
3/ And on a rather specific question of interest that Naftohaz will receive on the $2.9bn in funds received from Russia. (A conversation so specific that could well look like a leaked tape tbh #sarcasm ). Nothing on the much-debated mystery of UAH strength, and rightly so.

Two player game. Write a 280c tweet collaboratively on a topic, alternating words. Player A‘s goal is to make the paragraph read as a serious, thoughtful take on the topic. Player B’s goal is to make themselves look as good as possible.

Play on DM and tweet result.
Probably better as alternating sentences and a full paragraph.
This is #sarcasm about the GOP-Trump dynamic if not obvious. Could be really funny if scripted as a sketch about Iran for eg.

[1/4] Ok this is really funny, check this out.
I was in the process of booking a flight via @OneTravel. Trying to make me book ASAP, they claimed: "38 people are looking at this flight".
Whoa, 38 is a lot, I have to hurry up. But first I have to check how they came up with 38 >>
[2/4] Right click and a quick "inspect" on the number, I found out the element's class name is "view_notification_random".
Awesome variable naming guys.
So you're _randomly_ trying to freak me out. Alright >>
[3/4] So what's your sophisticated pseudo-random algorithm?
Apparently, OneTravel are choosing a number between 28 and 45.
Because as you all know, based on serious psychological research, these numbers tend to make people book their flights fast #sarcasm #not42 >>

I don’t know if it’s being forced to watch the frequency at which deeper and more widespread saltwater inundation is impacting some neighborhoods in South Florida, or if it’s the inner demons released when teenagers like #Greta admonish adults, but this fall ...

I’ve had an inordinate number of, um, skeptics (I’m trying to be kind) bending themselves into pretzels trying to contradict what we in #miami and Fort Lauderdale are plainly seeing with our own eyes:

the cities are under siege from the surging seas.

They throw around all their expertly-gathered (#sarcasm) alternative facts, like “what do you expect when you build on a swamp?” Let me enlighten you:

1/16 It has begun. The GOP is spinning that the sole transcript Trump says he will release is more important than the #WhistleblowerComplaint as a tactic to insist everything should ride on this one supposed piece of evidence.

#ImpeachTrump #ImpeachmentParty #UkraineTranscript
2/16 All reports indicate this was a months-long conspiracy Trump and Giuliani were engaged in, subverting & bypassing officials who tried to stop them.

A single call does not BEGIN to give an accurate depiction of the events that lead up to this.…
3/16 And Trump already has a shady history with releasing information.

Forget the obvious like his tax returns, school grades, and secret meetings with Putin.

Actually, a reminder of those secret meetings:

Credit cards are evil because they make you spend what you don't have? Then home loans are Satan because you're spending 4-5yrs of your annual salary at 8% interest to buy what you think is an asset but in reality is four walls available at 2% of market value. #Sarcasm
Don't spend more than you have? I'm sorry to break this to you guys, our country spends more than it has. Our revenues are less than our expense. We literally borrow to pay for our expenses.
That Rs2000 note that you carry? It's worthless. It's just a promise by the central bank to pay. A promise guys! It's not even an asset, it's a liability of the RBI.

We as #Americans are facing down a terrible and destructive enemy. An enemy that knows no bounds, plays by no rules and is concerned only with driving a wedge into the staggering partisan divide in the #USA
That enemy is the @GOP @TheDemocrats #Republicrat #Duopoly
'But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. '
The yoke our founding fathers threw off was I do believe a lighter yoke than we Americans bear today. It was for all its weight a yoke forced upon them. Today we bear a yoke we have been manipulated into volunteering for.

What? You mean... you mean... that software lives on beyond the deployment? Beyond the first few minutes/hours/days? Until you retire it? #sarcasm

I think we need a new phrase:

"Your code is for life, not just for deployment"

cf "A dog is for life, not just for Christmas"
I love @mipsytipsy talking truth. She's one of the few who simply nails it almost every time.

Too many devs fail to think about the effects of their code over any term other than the deployment and a bit after.

Maybe because their salary doesn't depend on quality over time?
If devs were paid a bonus based upon the amount of technical debt they created - the less they created, the better their bonus - would the world be a better place?

Because maybe that should be a thing we consider.

Sick of the democrats and their hypocritical bullshit...

Now they're anti-cursing, apparently.

I have a lot to say about the assumptions that the French should have done more to protect Notre Dame.

Most of it comes from being surrounded by my feckless artist family. #sarcasm
But for realz: whole family chock full of artists.
Teachers, teaching art, studying art history, architects, museum curators.

Warning: long thread, incoming.

Some thoughts on the recent brouhaha around Rise Up Ocean County (RUOC) and the giant failure of Lakewood's leadership once again being exposed.

@savelakewoodnj @TakebackLKWD @appopinion @sbarchenger
First, a shout-out to @savelakewoodnj for his courage, once again, in getting up publicly to call out the establishment (or rather their stand-in stooges) to their faces. Harold is exactly right.…

As for RUOC, I have mixed thoughts. They've grown rapidly on Facebook in just a few months and they're clearly tapping into a vein that much of Ocean County identifies with. But, it's unfortunate that some of the vocal members peddle in anti-semitic tropes (to put it mildly).

One thing that does make me happy is that all the Dems stood together and held hands as they disavowed Louis Farrakhan.
I remember a time when they let Obama completely slide in the news over this pic.

Thankfully, no more. The Dems and media have risen up together to say ‘No more’

Mohammad al-Halbusi, with 169 votes, is the new Speaker of #Iraq. Halbusi was al-Anbar governor.

Hasan Karim and Rashid Jalil are expected to be selected in the next hour as the two vice Speakers.
A first official victory to the anti-#USA camp (pro-#Iran): Halbusi was presented and supported by al-Bina' coalition, the Maliki-Ameri (et al) group, even if the vice Speaker will be from the Sadrist (in the next hour).

Hasan Karim was indeed elected minutes ago as a first vice-Speaker of the #Iraq/i Parliament with 209 votes (he is a sadrist).

The number of votes indicates Moqtada and the largest coalition (Maliki-Ameri) have agreed on prior voting.

Well dang it! One of those fancy renewable energy companies was just charged with $500 million in tax fraud between 2010-2016 who would have ever thought these earth saving companies receiving massive grants would behave in such way! The horror.. #sarcasm
Here’s one little grant of almost $500k who wants to bet there’s more? Who wants to bet there’s much, much more to WRE? Why do you think everyone was so triggered by Pruitt?
Oh here’s some big money in Vermont about $8 million in grants another $9million in loans. Government cheese.

1. I don’t think Ezra Klein’s advice to #NeverTweet is particularly helpful, so here’s some advice for how to lessen the chances your tweets will be taken out of context. Remember that communication is a two-way street.
2. You REALLY shouldn’t feed the trolls, but if you do, make sure you screenshot & archive their tweet via so there’s a record of what exactly you’re responding to. Include the screenshot & link when you respond.
3. Learn to thread properly. If your thoughts are part of a thread, don’t tweet them individually.

- Reply to each tweet consecutively (Don’t reply only to the first tweet. I made this mistake in the beginning).

A little Seth Rich Thread for your Sunday Afternoon, just some thoughts and facts in this Investigation... Let's look into Brad Bauman, Rod Wheeler, Detective Joey DellaCamera, and what we know is being said. #AmericaFirstMedia #SethRich #HisNameWasSethRich
In April of 2017, Detective Joey DellaCamera met in Private Investigator Rod Wheelers Maryland Office. DellaCamera made some very interesting statements that contradict what was said in an Audio Interview by DNC Crisis Fixer Brad Bauman. Who now speaks for the Rich Family.
“My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and Wikileaks,” “I do believe that the answers to who murdered Seth Rich sits on his computer on a shelf at the DC police or FBI headquarters.” -Rod Wheeler
